"EVERY MORNINGS DEW IS A FRESH BREATH OF A NEW BEGINNING"
Welcome to Term 2
Welcome back to an exciting Term 2! We hope everyone had a wonderful break. This term, we are looking forward to engaging in events such as National Simultaneous Storytime, CWA Public Speaking, School Photos, athletics carnivals, and a variety of other enjoyable and educational opportunities in Term 2.
You may have noticed that we now have a new format for our newsletter. This format is one that is being rolled out across all schools in the Bathurst Diocese. While it may take some getting used to, we hope that you will still find it easy to navigate, but your feedback is welcome on how me may improve it. We will still print a copy for your family, but the print format may not include all images.
Welcome to Travis Gleeson and his family. We are enjoying getting to know our newest member of the Kindergarten class. Travis is settling well into St Joseph's and all of the children are making him feel welcome.
End of Term Assembly
We finished a busy term with an assembly in the hall. The children performed songs that they have been learning with Mrs Cuddy, presented samples of their work, and the infants class told the story of ‘Hattie and the Fox’, a book they have been reading in class. What fun it was to see the confidence and skill up on the stage. It was wonderful to see the hall full of parents, friends and community members supporting our children.
Congratulations to the recipients of Term 1 Principal’s Awards:
Sam Moxey - for showing care for younger students and excellent role modelling on the playground.
Chloe Chaffey - for great application to her work and getting along well with others
Indiana Fren - for consistent application to her work and being a good role model to all.
ANZAC Day
We gathered with the Eugowra community last Thursday to pay tribute to and remember those who have served our country. It was touching to see so many children and families attend the service. The children looked very smart in their winter uniforms as they marched proudly – a commendable display. Thank you to the organisers for another special Eugowra Anzac Day!
School Improvement Surveys
Parents will be receiving an email containing a link to school improvement surveys.
This survey should take between 5-10 minutes to complete and is being conducted to gather your knowledge, beliefs and experiences regarding our school. This survey is part of a suite of annual surveys that are being conducted with staff, parents and students. The results and analysis of the data will assist us to drive school improvement.
Your participation in this questionnaire is voluntary and confidential. All analysis of data will be done in such a way that your identity will remain anonymous. We would greatly value your participation and input.
Catholic Schools Week 6-10 May
Next week we will celebrate Catholic Schools Week. We invite families and community members to join us on Thursday 9th May at 1pm for a look around the school and visit the classrooms, followed by some afternoon tea and Mass.

Weekly Prayer
Dear Lord,
We ask that you be present in this space.
Lord, as we prepare for the coming of a new term make us ready, attentive and available to hear you.
Thank You for the gift of being able to rise each day with the assurance that You walk through it with us.
Thank You for the gifts of creativity and uniqueness, and the energy to put them to good use.
May all that we are today, all that we try to do today, may all our encounters, reflections, even the frustrations and failings all be place in your hands.
May the work we do and the way we do it, bring new hope, new life, and courage to all we come in contact with this semester. We thank you, Lord.
We make this prayer through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
